Our Story
S&S Marine Repair is a family-owned mobile marine service based in North Port, Florida. We operate on a simple principle: your boat should not have to sit in a shop queue for weeks when the same fix or the same routine service can be done at your dock in a single day. Owner and technician Spencer Iannuzzi handles the wrench work personally on every job, from a routine oil change to a full engine rebuild.
We keep the operation small and hands-on. There is no service writer, no rotating tech, no dispatcher, and no shop overhead built into your invoice. When you call, you get the person who is going to work on your boat. When you schedule, you get the same technician who quoted the job. That structure keeps the quality consistent, keeps the pricing honest, and keeps one person accountable for every result.
Boat owners kept telling me the same thing. They hated trailering. They hated waiting six weeks for a shop opening. So I built a business that goes to the boat instead of making the boat come to us.
Why Go Mobile
Traditional marine shops are built for a business model that made sense when most boats lived on trailers. Along this coast, most boats do not. They live in the water, on a lift, or in a slip year-round. Every part of the shop-based workflow is friction for you.
Most boats along this coast never touch a trailer. Hauling a fully rigged boat through Gulf-Coast traffic, blocking a weekend, and paying for the round trip is often more painful than the actual repair. We eliminate that entire process by bringing the tools and parts to your boat.
Traditional shops queue jobs behind whatever came in first, which is why routine service that should take one day often takes three to six weeks in peak season. Our mobile schedule fits your calendar, and most work finishes the same visit rather than sitting on a shop rack.
Certain electrical faults, cooling issues, charging problems, and rigging complaints only appear when the boat sits in actual water and is powered up the way you actually use it. Diagnosing at your dock catches faults a shop bench routinely misses.
You are not being handed between a service writer, a shop foreman, and whichever apprentice is free that day. Spencer works every job. One person knows the history of your boat, one person makes the calls, and one person is accountable when the work is finished.
We carry ECM diagnostic software and interfaces for all major outboard brands, plus the common parts inventory a dealership stocks for scheduled service. What we cannot finish at your dock is limited by physical shop equipment, not by tools or knowledge.
We quote after inspecting the boat and confirming the actual scope of work. No padded shop rates, no phantom diagnostic fees, no upsell tactics on parts you do not need. If the price changes during a job, we call before continuing.
