Our Regional Service Coverage

S&S Marine Repair provides mobile marine service across two Florida counties from our North Port home base. Our regular service corridor spans Charlotte County to the south and southern Sarasota County to the north, covering the residential canal communities, marinas, and waterfront neighborhoods where the region's boat owners keep their boats. Every service and repair happens at your boat, whether it is on a canal-front lift, at a marina slip, in a boat club, at a residential dock, or on a trailer in your driveway.

Below is our complete service area coverage list organized by county. Click through to any city page for full details on services offered there, boat types common in the area, brand coverage, and neighborhood-specific information.

Areas We Also Service

Beyond the specific cities above, our regular service corridor covers residential communities, marina facilities, and boat storage locations throughout the broader Charlotte and Sarasota County boating areas. Locations along the coverage boundaries typically fit into our regular schedule with reasonable travel time from North Port.

Response Time by Area

Response time varies with distance from our North Port base and specific traffic conditions:

Core service area (15-30 minute travel): North Port, Port Charlotte, Venice, South Venice, and immediately adjacent communities. Same-day appointments are often possible for straightforward calls during normal availability.

Regular service area (25-45 minute travel): Punta Gorda, Charlotte Harbor, Englewood, Rotonda West, and Placida. Same-day or next-day scheduling for most calls depending on current calendar demand.

Extended service area (45-60 minute travel): Boca Grande and Manasota Key. Typically scheduled a day or more ahead to allow efficient batching of multiple calls in these more distant areas.

Emergency calls: Priority scheduling regardless of area. Describe the situation and location clearly so we can determine the fastest path to resolution.

Areas Outside Our Standard Coverage

Our regular service corridor is Charlotte and Sarasota County. Locations outside these counties are handled case-by-case depending on the distance, specific service needed, and current scheduling capacity. If your boat is located outside our standard coverage area, call (239) 333-6722 to discuss whether we can accommodate the service. Long-distance calls typically involve travel time considerations that affect both scheduling and pricing.

Common Questions About Service Coverage

Yes, our city coverage is comprehensive rather than limited to specific neighborhoods. If you live in Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, Venice, or any other city on our coverage list, we can reach your specific address. That includes canal-front residential lifts, marina slips, storage facilities, vacation rentals, and any other boat storage situation within the city limits. Some outlying areas of the larger cities take slightly longer to reach, but coverage is complete.
Distance from our North Port base determines coverage practicality, not proximity to other locations. Some boat owners near the northern edge of Charlotte County may be geographically closer to service providers based further north, and vice versa. Our coverage decisions are based on where we can efficiently service boats given our home base and typical route patterns. Call (239) 333-6722 to discuss your specific location and we will give you an honest answer about coverage.
Yes. Marina slip service throughout our coverage area is a regular part of our work. When you call for marina service, let us know exactly which marina, which slip, and any specific access instructions the marina requires. Some marinas require advance notice for outside service providers, which we coordinate as part of scheduling the visit. Marina slip service is generally straightforward once we have the location details.
Yes. Private storage facilities, vacation rental properties, seasonal residences, and other non-standard storage situations are all part of our regular coverage. When the boat is at a location the owner is not personally present at, we work out access arrangements ahead of the visit. Clear communication about who has keys, what access codes are needed, and where the boat is specifically located is essential to make these visits work smoothly.
Weekday daytime hours are our primary service window. Weekend and after-hours service is available based on demand and specific scheduling, particularly during peak fishing seasons when demand is highest. Emergency calls with a boat in the water needing immediate attention get priority scheduling regardless of the day of the week. For non-emergency work outside of normal hours, we may charge a scheduling premium depending on the specific situation.
